Amelle has been an inspiration ever since I met her at the beginning of my PhD. Her passion both for science and for making science more equitable is remarkable, and I admire how she never walked away from a tough fight while constantly looking out for students and postdocs everywhere. On a more personal note, I especially miss our discussions, which sometimes ranged into full blown arguments, over coffee up on level 8.
