I was very fortunate to have Dr. Anu Agarwal as my supervisor during my Ph.D.. She is remarkably knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and extremely patient in mentoring rookie researchers (like myself back in 17 years ago) into the integrated photonics field. She has always been a role model that encourages me to bring out my best and give back to the community. I would certainly not be where I am without her constant support and mentorship.
