Bogdan Mielnik Manwelow was a Polish theoretical physicist based in Mexico. He was born on May 6, 1936 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1954 he presented a proof of the Hahn-Banach theorem. He worked as a professor at the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the University of Warsaw, Poland and in the Physics Department of Cinvestav, Mexico. His main contributions to science were in the fundamentals of quantum mechanics and quantum control. He has been recognized for his provocative ideas in science.
