I would like to honor my PhD advisor Prof. Jelena Vuckovic. She has been both an inspiration and a caring mentor in my academic journey. Jelena is in as good of a standing with colleagues as she is with photons. Therefore, it is not surprising that she is now the Chair of one of the most consequential electrical engineering departments in the world. Thank you for all that you do to move science forward, Jelena!
