Foundation Donors & Programs
Contributions to the Optica Foundation, a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, are deductible as provided by law. Each person's legal and financial situation will differ and the laws vary from state to state, and country to country. Accordingly, it is recommended that you consult with a professional advisor for specific questions regarding tax deductions.
The Optica Foundation online donation form ensures that your contribution will be securely transacted.
If you would prefer to make a donation by mail, please send all contributions to the Optica Foundation | 2010 Massachusetts Avenue, NW | Washington, DC 20036 USA. Individuals may also donate to the Foundation when they join or renew their Optica membership.
Please visit the “Grants” section of the Optica Foundation web site for details on programs and the application process.
The Optica Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps graduate students and early career professionals as they become active members of research, engineering and corporate communities around the globe. Foundation-sponsored travel grants, prizes, scholarships, fellowships and programs are just some of the ways donor contributions directly benefit these innovators and leaders of tomorrow. The Foundation also works to secure Optica Awards and Honors Program endowments.
There are two review cycles for education grants. Notifications for the Fall Review (applications are due by October 31) will be sent by November 26; notifications for the Spring Review (applications are due by April 15) will be sent by May 12.
