New Optica Online Industry Meeting series connects optical technology business leaders

WASHINGTON – Being an Optica corporate member drives success. Optica’s Industrial community is better than ever. Starting in August, we will kick off a series of “Optica Online Industry Meetings” covering a variety of grow areas across the optics industry. These online meetings include dedicated time for discussion and collaboration on shared industry needs. Registration is free for Optica corporate members; all meetings are recorded and available on-demand following each meeting.

Optica Online Industry Meeting: Photonics Packaging, Assembly and Testing

Attendees, including assembly and test service providers and tool/equipment manufacturers, will discuss the packaging and testing of optical modules, including passive/active optical alignment, wafer-level vs die level packaging and testing, thermal considerations or volume versus price.

Optica Online Industry Meeting: New Ultrafast Laser Applications

Ultrafast Lasers (pico- and femtosecond) have improved machine tool processes in micro-machining, sub-micron precision 3D printing, thin-film material processing, and microscopy and spectroscopy. Attendees will discuss some of these new applications directly with the end-users.

Optica Online Industry Meeting: Photonics for Medical Devices

Photonics technologies bring new approaches in healthcare applications in diagnostics and therapeutics as well as for medical devices such as surgical guidance tools, patient monitoring and diagnostics devices, etc. This meeting will address the challenges of development of medical devices and integration of the photonics technologies in them. We will discuss point-of-care devices, wearable devices, digital health technologies and their integration with IoT will be discussed, following the vision and demands of medical companies and medical doctors.
