Demetri is a great friend and even a better scientist. His love for science is contagious and he has the ability to keep everyone around him as excited about scientific discoveries. He is kind, open, and inclusive. As a mentor, he thought me to look beyond the problem I intend to solve in order to find a solution, to continuously educate myself, to trust my intuition, and to be open to discuss ideas even if they appear crazy and out-of-place.
