Luceda Photonics + CORNERSTONE Tutorial: From Wafer Measurements to Insights: Analyzing Cornerstone Silicon Photonics Data with Nexus
16 July 2026 10:00 - 11:00
Join us for a webinar with Luceda Photonics and CORNERSTONE, where we will explore how a powerful photonic data infrastructure can unlock the full value of measurement data generated through these platforms. We will introduce Luceda’s new product line, Nexus, and how it enables teams to unlock the full value of measurement data. Using a real-world CORNERSTONE silicon photonics dataset, we will show how Nexus Data Hive and Nexus Data Explorer seamlessly manage, structure, analyze, and visualize measurement data, providing deeper insights into device performance and manufacturing processes.
Speakers
Dr. Emre Kaplan
CORNERSTONE, PDK Manager
Emre Kaplan is a Senior Enterprise Fellow at the Optoelectronics Research Centre of the University of Southampton and PDK Manager at CORNERSTONE, where he leads the development of open-source Process Design Kits (PDKs) and Assembly Design Kits (ADKs) for technology platforms offered by CORNERSTONE. He is a strong advocate for open-source photonics and works to enable more accessible and collaborative approaches to photonic integrated circuit design. He received his PhD in Integrated Photonics from the University of Ferrara, Italy. During his doctoral and postdoctoral research, he was a visiting researcher at research institutes in the Netherlands and France
Ana Filipa Carvalho
Luceda Photonics, Technical Sales Engineer
Filipa is a Technical Sales Engineer at Luceda Photonics. She studied Physics Engineering at the University of Minho (Portugal), specializing in the physics of information. Following her previous experience as a Quantum Application Engineer, where she developed software, solutions, and use cases primarily for photonic quantum computing, she joined Luceda in 2025. Starting as an Application Engineer dedicated to customer training and onboarding and building solutions with IPKISS, Filipa now focuses on technical sales and lead generation. In her current role, she focuses on understanding customers' specific Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) needs, providing technical support, and connecting industry professionals through Luceda’s software ecosystem. She brings a strong EDA perspective to her work, empowering engineers to overcome design bottlenecks and achieve a "first-time-right" experience.
Dr. Grigorij Muliuk
Luceda Photonics, R&D Engineer
Grigorij Muliuk is an R&D Photonics Engineer specializing in photonic design automation, data analytics, and semiconductor process technologies. He obtained a European Master in Photonics through Ghent University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium), as well as the University of St Andrews (United Kingdom). He subsequently completed a PhD within the Photonics Research Group at Ghent University. After gaining experience in photonic device and process development at imec, he joined Luceda Photonics, where he develops software solutions that help engineers design, validate, and analyze photonic integrated circuits. His current focus is on data-driven photonics workflows, including photonic data management, wafer-level test analytics, Process Design Kits (PDKs), and tools that bridge measurement data with design and modeling environments. In his role, he works closely with customers, foundries, and industry partners to identify challenges and deliver solutions that make photonic engineering more scalable, accessible, and efficient through intelligent software and data infrastructure.
