Low optical losses, extensive components list and maturity of the processes are very important for high-performance PICs in both conservative markets with well known approaches, as well as for emerging and disruptive applications. In this talk we will give an overview of the current state of LIGENTEC low loss platforms and discuss the integration of beyond state of the art photodetectors and modulators. This gives access to a heterogeneous offering of extremely low losses in combination with high bandwidth low loss photodetectors and modulators.
