More and more career professionals including scientists are having their say on social media - shouting about what they stand for and what is important to them. But does having a personal brand add value in the eyes of employers, or is it just a distraction? We will explore the importance of getting the balance right and what you should be doing to stand out.

Katherine Wiid is a Career Management Coach based in Cambridge, UK with 24 years in recruitment and career management. Asked what she thinks is the single most important ingredient to career success she says Motive Matters! Rayner has a degree in Economic & Social History and an MBA and a passion for manufacturing and technology. He has held several senior marketing roles including Brand and Marketing Director and has worked both in the UK and internationally.
