The webinars will introduce myopia as a multi-layered problem studied with very different approaches and technologies. The seminars will also summarize the most promising treatments and technologies to stop/study its progression.
Part one of this seminar will take place on 12 January 2022. The session will focus on “Myopia - Mechanisms and Progression” and will feature the following speakers:
- Frank Schaeffel, Institute for Ophthalmic Research, University of Tübingen speaking on visual cues for emmetropization
- Frances Rucker, New England College of Optometry speaking on the role of luminance and chromatic cues in emmetropisation
- Christine Wildsoet, School of Optometry, University of California, Berkeley speaking on interventions for myopia onset and progression
Following the presentations from our speakers, there will be a moderated question and answer session.
