Meet the Speaker, Ruth Mackey:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ruth Mackey is Co-founder and Chief Science Officer at Mbryonics, a company that specializes in free space laser communication and integrated photonics systems for the space sector.  Ruth trained in laser physics at Heriot-Watt University and went on to do a PhD in Adaptive Optics at NUI Galway. She and her brothers founded Mbryonics in 2014 to bring breakthrough science to market using advanced engineering and manufacturing of optics and photonics technologies. Based in Ireland, the company now operates with partners around the world designing and building infrastructure for the next generation of satellite communications.
