Enhancing Wireless Communications with Photonics

With the increase in demand for bandwidth, the current wireless communication networks are reaching a bottleneck. Microwave photonics (MWP), which combines the advantages of microwave electronics and photonics thus enabling larger bandwidths and increased flexibility has the potential to release this bottleneck. In this webinar, I will introduce the world of MWP and will highlight how it can be a driving force for next-generation communications. I will then outline our recent efforts to solve some of the current challenges using on-chip photonic devices
