Microsystems – Global Impact: Applications of Silicon Nitride Integrated Photonics
Silicon nitride integrated photonic modules offer higher performance and lower power consumption than existing electronic solutions. Elsewhere they outclass bulk optical systems in terms of robustness and in scaling to volume. At LioniX International we use integrated photonics to enable the next wave of technological innovation in telecom, medical, metrology and sensing applications from diagnostics to data centres. In this session, we will present the technology and company competencies that drive value for our customers. Beyond this we will highlight our contributions to major societal challenges and showcase the power of our integrated photonics in these solutions.

Douwe Geuzebroek received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. He has more than 20 years of experience in integrated photonics and its applications, ranching from R&D to product development stages. He has a strong interest in matching the technical aspect of a technology to the needs of the market.He is currently working as VP Marketing & Sales at LioniX International where he is involved in the acquisition of new commercial and research projects for photonic integrated modules in life science, etrology, and telecommunication applications.
