Dr. Audrey Bowden is my Ph.D. advisor and my role model. She is truly inspiring and passionate about bringing novel optical solutions to solve important clinical problems, especially in low-resource settings. She is a great mentor and is always supportive. From working under Dr. Bowden in the last 5 years, I not only have learned how to do science, but also I am inspired to become a mentor myself and support younger generations of women in science.
