I've been tremendously honored to have known Shilpi as a labmate and friend for 4 years, for she has taught me the invaluable lesson of patience and grit in her daily work ethic.Her unyielding efforts in doing her experiments in a systematic fashion and working long hours untiringly shows the rewards that patience can give.Her skills in tackling cryptic simulations, fabricating esoteric devices and mastery of myriad lab equipment humbles even the most professional in the integrated optics field.
