PhD is not an easy path to go. But when there are "le mie donne preferite" who have always been there to listen, try new ideas, and challenge the European project with you, that path seems more enjoyable and memorable. Laura and Cristina have taught me and still continue to teach all I know about biology and can implement it in biophotonics. They are my references even 1000 km apart when I start doing any bio-related experiment in the lab. I have and will forever cherish their role in creating from me a biophotonics researcher.
