Dr. Karin Hinzer is an inspiring leader, a passionate scientist, and a pioneer in the field of photonics conducting top-notch research in area of photovoltaic technologies. With her exceptional positive energy, and her enthusiasm, she has touched the lives of many individuals, including mine. I consider myself fortunate to have learnt from her and am thankful for the excellent example she has provided as a successful woman engineer and professor, while being a wife and a mother at the same time.
