Optica Vision and Color Summer Data Blast!

You are invited to join the Optica Vision and Color Technical Division for their annual summer data blast! Each session will be hosted by one of our division’s four technical groups and feature short talks related to their area of the field. The sessions will include a lot of time for questions and discussion following the talks.

The theme for this week’s session is ‘Adaptive Optics and Its Applications’ and will feature the following talks:

  • Revealing spectral cone types from structural differences as obtained by AO-OCT imaging in human subjects presented by Qiuzhi Ji, Indiana University, USA
  • Boosting 2-Photon Vision with Adaptive Optics presented by Hannah Doyle, University of California Berkeley, USA
  • Portable and Compact Adaptive Optics Instrument for Visual Simulation presented by Shoaib Soomro, VOptica, Spain
  • AO Visual simulators to test multifocal contact lenses for Myopia control presented by Shrilekha Vedhakrishnan, CSIC, Spain
  • Hand-held AO-OCT presented by Kristen Hagan, Duke University, USA
  • Multiphoton microscopy for the eye presented by James Germann, CSIC, Spain
  • Structure-function assessment of fluorescently-labeled photoreceptors in carriers of choroideremia presented by Andrew Bower, National Eye Institute, USA
  • Monocular Accommodative Response to Random Defocus Step Changes presented by Najnin Sharmin, University College Dublin, Ireland
  • Development of a high-speed high-resolution AOFIO for retinal imaging and tracking of the eye movements presented by Josselin Gautier, Sorbonne Université, France

Our moderator for this session will be Karen Hampson, University of Manchester, Chair of the Optica Applications of Visual Science Technical Group.
