Emerging Economies: Waivers and Discounts

Optica Members residing in Low- and Lower-Middle Income countries (as defined by the World Bank) are eligible for free, waived registration to Optica Meetings. Non-members from these countries do not receive a discount, but are encouraged to join Optica as an SEC Member (approximately USD 5 - USD 65) to receive free, waived registration.

Important Information

Advance Registration Deadline

Payment MUST be received with your registration form or with your online registration. NO registration will be processed without payment. All payments must be in USD. Registrations received after 23:59 EDT (UTC-04:00), on Monday, 12 June 2023, will be charged the Standard rate. Upon receipt of your registration and payment, a confirmation letter will be e-mailed to each registrant. PAYMENT ISSUES WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF YOUR REGISTRATION. Note: All presenters must register by 23:59 EDT (UTC-04:00), on Friday, 30 June 2023.

Health and Safety Requirements for In-Person Registrants

Optica event management is monitoring global, federal, state and local health guidelines in preparation for this meeting. 

  • Vaccinations — COVID vaccination records will not be required/checked onsite this year. However, Optica strongly encourage COVID vaccination and boosters, as vaccines are proven to reduce the threat of critical illness.
  • Masks — The wearing of masks is a matter of personal choice and preference, and we encourage everyone to be respectful of mask decisions made by other individuals. Wear a mask indoors if you are more comfortable; we ask that you respect those around you that choose to do so.

Reasonable Event Policies and Terms have been established. We encourage you to read these carefully as all registrants to the congress will be required to agree to these policies and terms as a condition of registration.

Cancellation Policy

Cancelling a Registration: Refund requests must be received in writing by Monday, 19 June 2023. A processing service charge of USD 75 will be assessed. Cancellation requests submitted after Monday, 19 June 2023 WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Please allow four to six weeks to process a refund request.

Payment and Refund Information

All payments must be in USD.

Credit cards are accepted (VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club).

Bank Drafts and Wire Transfers — Please indicate on your registration form which bank was used and when the deposit was made. Also, please notify Optica of the transfer to avoid any lost or unidentified payments.
