Fiber Optic Active Component Alignment and Signal Monitoring
When assembling active fiber optic components such as lasers or transceivers, one needs to verify the coupling of power into a fiber quickly and accurately. This type of monitoring requires a responsive optical power meter (OPM). For single fiber applications a single OPM will do, but when an array of components is aligned simultaneously a responsive multichannel OPM is needed.
