Lambda Research Releases TracePro 26.2
New release adds model visibility control and Scheme macro commands for TracePro workflows
WESTFORD, Mass., May 18, 2026 - Lambda Research Corporation announced the release of TracePro 26.2, the latest version of its optical and illumination design software. TracePro 26.2 is part of the TracePro 2026 release series and includes updates focused on model visibility, scripted workflow control, and ray color settings.
TracePro 26.2 introduces a new Hide All option that allows users to hide all objects in a TracePro model with one command. The command is available from the View menu and provides a direct way to clear the visible workspace when reviewing, troubleshooting, or preparing complex models for focused analysis.
For engineers working with large optical assemblies, imported CAD geometry, multiple sources, or detailed mechanical structures, visibility control is an important part of model setup and review. The new Hide All option reduces the number of manual steps needed to manage object visibility and provides a cleaner starting point for isolating specific geometry or analysis paths.
TracePro 26.2 also adds two Scheme macro commands: View:hide-all-objects and Analysis:set-ray-colors. The View:hide-all-objects command gives users macro access to the new Hide All feature. The Analysis:set-ray-colors command allows users to set and control ray color options through Scheme.
These new Scheme commands support repeatable workflows for users who rely on macros to prepare models, run analyses, or standardize visual output. Macro control over object visibility and ray color settings can help users apply consistent model setup and analysis display choices across repeated studies.
TracePro is used for modeling, analyzing, and optimizing optical and illumination systems. The software supports work across illumination design, stray light analysis, imaging systems, optical system development, and opto-mechanical design workflows.
“TracePro 26.2 adds practical tools for users managing complex models and automated workflows,” said David Jacobsen, Senior Application Engineer at Lambda Research Corporation. “The new Hide All command gives users a faster way to control model visibility, while the new Scheme commands extend that control into repeatable macro-driven processes.”
Lambda Research Corporation has provided opto-mechanical design environments for more than 30 years and is headquartered at 515 Groton Road, Westford, Massachusetts 01886, USA.
