Drawing on over 30 years of industry experience in optics and electronics, Jim is a proven optical communication professional who has driven innovation through technical leadership and engineering management roles at major companies, including Cisco, Adva, Texas Instruments, and HGGenuine. As a highly respected authority in the field, Jim has significantly contributed to advancing telecommunications technology, holding 30 patents and frequently contributing to industry publications and standards bodies. His past leadership roles include serving as President of the Ethernet Alliance and as optical liaison editor for IEEE Communications Magazine.
