Mary E. Wheeler has worked at The Optical Society since 2008. Over the years, she has held a variety of positions, and she is currently Director of Digital Properties at Optica. She is also Secretary of the Board and Acting Treasurer at the Cookie Brigade, an organization that raises funds to support the Child’s Play charity. She volunteers her time there and at Arclight Comics as a creative consultant and world designer. In 2020, she received the Treasurer’s Award “For exemplifying the type of leadership that promotes excellence amongst her coworkers, and outstanding support of the Society’s digital strategies.”
